As a Director, I don’t always have face-to-face contact with the families we serve. However, the way in which we deliver services and the outcomes that they are able to achieve and how we measure them, are how I am able to impact the families in our programs. I have found my “why” in my professional and personal lives to be in building capacity of others (my children, my grandchildren, families we serve, staff I supervise, and communities I work with). If I am able to meet people where they are and assist them to build upon their current skills and knowledge, I believe I have demonstrated my impact.
