Talking About Adoption: Conversations with Your Adopted Child (Omaha)

About the Event

This conversational workshop will explore the opportunities and challenges in helping your adopted or foster child learn, know and claim their own story. Spanning developmental stages, the importance of eliminating secrecy and promoting a healthy understanding of the child’s whole story is explored. Strategies to use with children of different developmental ages is a central theme. Participants will also explore personal challenges around discussing difficult issues, openness in adoption, and promoting/supporting the development of identity in children.

This training will be held in-person at our Omaha main office.
