Child Development and Trauma (Virtual)
About the Event
Trauma is an emotional response to an intense event or events that threaten or causes harm. Traumatic experiences that happen during pregnancy or early in life can have a lasting impact on a child. Traumatic experiences that occur later in life may also have a lasting impact. Understanding the effects of trauma is particularly important for parents working to provide a nurturing home for their children and to help them feel safe and loved. The workshop also explores strategies that can help support a child’s healing and improve relationships.
This training will be held virtually via Zoom and is open to individuals statewide.
